It’s impossible to imagine a kid with a poster of a Volvo XC60 R-Design on their wall. But as an owner of a 2012 XC60 R-design, I find myself occasionally marveling at the performance of my fun Swedish Crossover. I was browsing through the print version of this month’s Road & Track, which features Supercars, old and new. In the back they have a historical overview of supercars in the Road Test Summary, and I was taken aback by what I saw. For the bulk of the 70’s/80’s, Countach’s raw numbers in 0-60 and quarter mile times were on par with my stealthy Scandinavian shuttle.
